 |Mac10| Glossary of Terms for Counter-Strike or Condition Zero

The following list of Counter-strike and Condition Zero used terms comes from everyday |Mac10| gameplay.  If you have played CZ or CS with |Mac10| in the past, these words have probably been heard:

50
(n) - Speed hacks set at aspeed 50
"I'm gonna go 50 and knife the whole team"

CAL
(n) - Cyberathletic Amateur League.  Organized group of Counter-Strike nerds that get together and play league matches against one another for gaming recognition.
"That guy is so good he must be in CAL"
(n) - Hacks
"BRB I'm gonna go put CAL on"
(v) - To kill or be killed by an opponent, whether or not you are a member of CAL
"Did you see me cal that guy with a Mac10?"
(adj) -  To be a good enough player to be thought to be in CAL
"SuperMan Glocked that guy from across the map.  He is so cal."

Cal-DD
(n) - The level in CAL that |Mac10| holds
"Are you guys in cal?" - "Yes, we're cal-dd"

Caltastic
(adj) - To be so good as to be thought of as a CAL member
"SeaBass, that was so caltastic how you Mac'd those guys in the face."

Camp
(v) - To strategically hold a position, usually near spawn, so that the opponent cannot penetrate this location.  Sometimes involves having to hold onto the bomb indefinitely or not diffuse a planted bomb.  A dedicated player will never leave his post.
"Dammit, |Mac10|.  Plant the bomb and quit camping!"

Flank
(v) - Legendary strategy where the opponent is camped out and killed by a |Mac10| in an entryway from both sides
"Let's camp the blue door and flank these fools."

Jon
(n) - Nickname for a server admin or other server member with admin priveleges who can kick/ban/slay another player
"Somebody call and wake up Jon cuz these guys are hacking!"
"SeaBass, do you think you could pick a server will a few more jons in it???"

Old school
(adj) - Referring to any older tactic of |Mac10|, sometimes referring to particular locations on particular maps.  This term is primarily used when alltalk is on and it is important that the opponent does not know the location of |Mac10| players
"Old school on this one, SeaBass.  Let's flank them."

Pwn
(v) - To kill an opponent, usually in a dominant fashion
"He got pwned by my Mac10 to the face"

Pwntabulous
(adj) - To be so good as to be thought of as a CAL member
"SeaBass, your Mac work is so pwntabuous."

Pwntastic
(adj) - To be so good as to be thought of as a CAL member
"SuperMan is pwntastic with the pump."

Reaper
(n) - The hacks of choice as of May 2005
"Make sure reaper is on before we go into that Utah server"

Spam
(n) - Any typed, keybound or microphone chatter or recordings that is annoying to other players
"Spam the URL, SeaBass."
(v) - To repeatedly type phrases or voicespam until other players are annoyed
"I spammed the mac10crew.com URL all over the place."

Voicespam
(n) - A recorded wav file that can be played repeatedly through for all players in the server to hear.
"Superman is using voicespam again."
(v) - To repeatedly spam a server and annoy other players by playing a recorded wav file through the voice system
"OMG stfu |Mac10| is voicespamming again and I can't hear anything."

Wall of Death
(n) - Legendary strategy coined by |Mac10| members where the tactic is to line up around a corner and open fire on any opponents when they come around that corner.  The line of assembly is usually defined by a series of bulletholes shot in the ground.  This technique is extremely powerful and difficult to break through, regardless of gun strength.
"Wall of death right here.  Everyone line up."
